Information about aluminium profiles Aluminium profiles warrant cooling of LED strips. Inadequate cooling reduces the service life of the LED strip, or damage of the LED strip may occur. Profile preparation and gluing For good adhesion of LED strip, profiles must always be thoroughly cleaned and degreased. Some types of surfaces (e.g. powder paints) have lower adhesion, the LED strip can unglue over time. For long-term use, we recommend testing adhesion with the LED strip switched-on (heated). Surface can be easily roughened to increase adhesion. Legend visible points continuous line (when using a dimmer, looking through a dark foil, reflection, etc., the points may be visible) Absorbing light using different covers. Different types of covers are available for individual aluminium profiles, they differ in light transmittance and type of mounting. Click-on covers are the most convenient for mounting, allowing them to be removed from the profile at any time, without the need for additional space around the profile. Individual covers, thanks to their ability to scatter/absorb light, can reduce the intensity of LED light- ing or create a continuous light line without the visibility of individual points. Translucent and transparent covers absorb a minimum of light, the individual diodes of the LED strip are visible. Milk covers partially absorb the light from LED strips. Individual types of covers absorb 20–30% of the light (depending on the respective type). These covers make a more pleas- ant impression of the LED strip when it is on the front part. Individual LED diodes are not visible on the profiles indicated below, in combination with the appropriate LED strip.
